The Mercury takes a shot on its opinion page today at members of the Pennsylvania Legislature for wasting constituents' tax money on calendars.
The newspaper also sends a "Thorn" in the direction of Pennsylvania lawyers who want to derail a plan to eliminate property taxes.
I wonder how many members of the Pennsylvania Legislature are also lawyers? I'm guessing at least 50 percent of the state Legislature is made up of lawyers. That could explain why so little gets done in Harrisburg.
