The first rule of holes: When you're in a hole, stop digging.
Jim Matthews keeps digging himself deeper.
Check out this post at PaWaterCooler.com, where King James I attempts to explain why he sold out the Republican Party in Montgomery County.
PAWaterCooler.com has obtained a copy of a two-page letter Matthews sent to Montgomery County Republican Committee members attempting to justify his betrayal of the party.
I don't think it's working. Montgomery County Republican Chairman Ken Davis will get bounced out the door on his behind at the next meeting of the Republican Committee and don't be surprised if Davis' hand-picked candidates for various state offices get the cold shoulder from the party's rank-and-file.
The sooner the party purges itself of Davis-Matthews and their ilk, the sooner it can rebuild.
