Berks County primary-election turnout is up over 2009, but still low

Some interesting voter turnout numbers in the article below by Steve Reinbrecht:
About 19 percent of registered Berks voters went to polls in the May 18 primary election. That's 7 percentage points more — and almost 17,000 more actual voters — than hit the polls in the 2009 primary. The statewide turnout in the 2010 primary was estimated at 22 percent, according to the Pennsylvania Department of State.
