Final July 4th Holiday Weekend Box Office numbers won't be released until Monday (when most people are still off from work and may take in a movie) but it appears that "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse" will end up on top.It appears M. Night Shyamalan finally has a hit with "The Last Airbender" after several box-office duds, but the film is still a long way from making back its $150 million production costs.
In the battle for computer animation bragging rights, "Toy Story 3" has left "Shrek Forever After" in its dust, earning more in three weeks ($289 million) than the "Shrek" sequel made in seven weeks ($232 million) of release.
Here's the estimated box office haul through Sunday:
1 Eclipse - $69,000,000 - Total gross: $161,000,000
2 The Last Airbender - $40,650,000 - Total gross: $57,000,000
3 Toy Story 3 - $30,174,000 - Total gross: $289,000,000
4 Grown Ups - $18,500,000 - Total gross: $77,082,000
5 Knight & Day Fox $10,200,000 - Total gross: $45,508,000
