We are a nation of idiots

From our sad but true file comes this editorial from The Tribune-Review in Pittsburgh.

The newspaper can't help but comment on the government's decision to spend $42 million to send letters to people telling them that the "economic stimulus" rebate checks are in the mail.

"Instead of questioning government that consistently charges us a premium for idiocy, the great masses laud that government. And what a tragedy those masses have enabled," the newspaper writes.

Democrats, Republicans, independents, whatever -- it doesn't matter. We're all idiots for tolerating a government so eager to waste our tax dollars.

So go ahead and keep voting the same idiots back into office. In the end, we get the government we deserve.
