Bob Kerns backed by Montco Republican row officers

Bill Shaw at the Writemarsh blog reports that all Republican Montgomery County row officers are backing Bob Kerns' bid to become the new chairman of the embattled Montgomery County Republican Committee.

Shaw also posted a copy of the endorsement letter and takes a shot at current GOP Chairman Ken Davis, who has presided over the demise of the once-dominant county organization.
"Ken Davis' days are thankfully numbered," Shaw writes. "His failure to promote the Republican agenda in Montgomery County are obvious -low morale within the rank and file committee, failed programs, and the registration gap closing faster than I've ever seen it are but a few of the reasons. He won't be missed by this committeeman!"
The endorsement letter is signed by Montgomery County District Attorney Risa Vetri Ferman, Sheriff John P. Durante, Recorder of Deeds Nancy J. Becker, Jury Commissioner Marie N. Cavanaugh and Treasurer Garrett D. Page.

Montgomery County Commissioner Bruce Castor also signed the letter for good measure.

Thanks to Ken Davis' bumbling (with the assistance of Turncoat Jim Matthews), the county's other five row offices are now in the hands of Democrats.

The Davis-Matthews era comes to an end on May 8 when GOP committee members pick a new chairman for a two-year term.

Tony-

Thanks for the mention in your blog today. I've just this week moved into the top 20 (17th) and I owe it to the readers and to my fellow bloggers who do just this.

I wish you continued success on your blog, but look out! 17 could become 16...and so on (hehe)
