10 Reasons Why Bloggers Fail

I read somewhere there are more than 55 million blogs on the Internet.

Most of them are read by a handful of people. Many were started with good intentions, but the creators gave up. Anyone who operates a blog can tell you that it's hard work to keep up with daily posts.

John Hawkins, who runs a blog called Right Wing News, has an interesting post listing "The Top 10 Reasons Bloggers Don't Succeed."

I have to warn you. If you're struggling to maintain your blog, maybe you should avoid reading this article. Hawkins tells it like it is. For example, the top reason why bloggers fail, Hawkins says, is "They're just not very good." That's followed by "They don't cover interesting material" and "They're not unique enough."

If you can handle the truth (and would like someone other than your mom to read your blog), I do recommend reading Hawkins' article and taking his advice to heart. This guy has been blogging since 2000 (did they have the Internet back then?) so he must be doing something right.
