Patrick A. Phyrillas (April 14, 2000 ~ January 29, 2023)


Patrick Anthony Phyrillas, 22, of Mount Penn, Pa., passed away on Sunday, January 29, 2023, from injuries sustained in a traffic accident in Lehigh County. He was the son of Tony and Soula (Happas) Phyrillas.

Born in Reading Hospital, he was a 2018 graduate of Antietam Middle-Senior High School and attended some classes at Reading Area Community College. Patrick participated in numerous musical productions while in high school, earning the nickname of "Pappy G."

Patrick worked as a content creator and editor for Schaffrillas Productions, a popular YouTube channel.

He was a kind soul who was loved by his friends and family and will be remembered for his creativity and dry sense of humor.

He was a member of Saints Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church in Reading, where he earned numerous perfect attendance awards for Sunday School, participated in the church's annual Oratorical Festival and served as an Altar Boy.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brother, James Phyrillas. Also surviving are his paternal grandmother, Paraskevou Phyrillas of Exeter Township; uncles Spiro Phyrillas, husband of Margaret, of Exeter Township; Lou Phyrillas, husband of Andrea, of Lower Alsace; Art Happas, husband of Peggy, of Swarthmore; and Peter Happas of Springfield; and cousins Maria Phyrillas, of Canonsburg, Pa.; Anastasis Phyrillas, husband of Angelique, of Cleveland, Ohio; Vasilis Phyrillas of Exeter Township; James Happas, Ava Happas and Joshua Happas of Springfield; and Theodore Phyrillas and Marina Phyrillas of Lower Alsace; and his godmother, Angie Politarhos-Santora of Garnet Valley.

He was predeceased by his paternal grandfather, Anastasis Phyrillas; his maternal grandparents, James and Aphrodite (Politarhos) Happas; and his godfather, John Santora.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, February 7, at Saints Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church, 1001 E. Wyomissing Blvd., Reading, PA. A Visitation will take place from 9 a.m. until the time of the services. Burial will follow at Charles Evans Cemetery.
