CNN Hires Non-Journalist to Cover DoJ — It's Valerie Jarrett's Daughter: Last September, CNN stealth-hired Laura Jarrett — the daughter of President Obama’s closest advisor and confidante, Valerie Jarrett. The news network only made the hire public in January. Hiring her is suspect for many reasons, but mostly because Laura Jarrett is not a journalist, and yet she is in charge of covering the Department of Justice.
