Has it been nine years since the Pennsylvania Legislature repealed its infamous middle-of-the-night pay raise? Guess what? The political elite who populate Harrisburg managed to raise the base salary of state lawmakers by $14,364 since 2005 in a series of "cost-of-living-adjustments." In the end, the permanent political class takes care of its own at the expense of state taxpayers. So go ahead and send those incumbents back to Harrisburg this November so they can continue to pick your pockets.
