Ryan Costello will be sworn in as Chester County newest commissioner on Thursday, February 17, in Courtroom 1 of the Chester County Justice Center, 201 W. Market Street, West Chester.
The oath will be administered at 9:15 a.m. by Chester County Common Pleas President Judge James P. MacElree II.
Costello was appointed to serve the remaining term vacated by Carol Aichele, who was named Secretary of the Commonwealth earlier this year.
Costello is currently the Chester County Recorder of Deeds and has served three years of a four year term. Costello previously served as an East Vincent Township Supervisor from 2002 until 2007.
Costello is also a candidate for a full four-year term on the three-member Chester County Board of Supervisors. Costello and incumbent Republican Commissioner Terrence Farrell have received the endorsement of the Republican Committee of Chester County to run in the May primary election.
