This conservative white guy wants an apology from Ed Rendell

You have three chances to catch Tony Phyrillas on this week's edition of "Journalists Roundtable" on the Pennsylvania Cable Network.

The one-hour program hosted by Bill Bova is shown Thursdays at 8 p.m. on cable systems throughout Pennsylvania. The program will repeat Sunday, Feb. 17, at 5 p.m. and again at 11 p.m.

The panel for Feb. 14 show includes Tony Phyrillas, political columnist for The Mercury in Pottstown; Tracie Mauriello, who covers state government for the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette; and Chris Lilenthal of the online news service Capitolwire.com

The topics include Gov. Rendell inserting his foot in his mouth again with the comment about how conservative white guys in Pennsylvania won't vote for a black candidate. The panel also discusses the importance of Pennsylvania's April 22 primary. Property tax relief and the reform movement were also discussed.

This conservative white guy voted for Lynn Swann for governor of Pennsylvania in 2006 and if I was voting in the Democratic Party primary, I'd pick Obama over Clinton.

What does that say about Rendell's comment or his attempt to play the race card?

PCN is shown on Comcast Channel 98 in Berks County, Service Electric Cable Channel 23 in Berks/Lehigh counties and Comcast Channel 78 in the Pottstown area.

Consult your cable guide for the Pennsylvania Cable Network channel in your area.
