Pastor running for Pennsylvania Legislature

Forget about the separation of church and state. A Berks County pastor is running for the Pennsylvania Legislature.

Lord knows Harrisburg could use some divine guidance.

Aaron J. Durso is one of three Republicans seeking their party nod in the 130th House District.

The winner of the April 22 primary will challenge freshman state Rep. David Kessler, a Democrat who won the seat in 2006.

Read more about Durso and the similarities he sees between the ministry and public office in today's edition of The Mercury.

Durso, an Air Force veteran who served in the first Gulf War, does have some political experience. He currently serves on the Birdsboro Borough Council, where he holds the post of council vice president.

Durso has also set up a campaign Web site at www.dursoforpa.com
