I haven't written anything about Philadelphia murders since the Nutter administration took over, but the election of a new mayor has not put much of a dent in the City of Brotherly Love's murder rate.
If you're interested in keeping up with the body count, check out the malcolmxpark.org blog, where you can find a chart detailing the number of murders by month. There were 25 killings in January and 22 in February.
The numbers are comparable to the same months in the previous two years. I haven't noticed much action since Michael Nutter took office other than hiring a new police chief. A lot of talk, not much action. A lot of bodies.
