Death march continues for Montco GOP

Montgomery County GOP chairman Ken Davis is the best thing that ever happened to the Democratic Party.

If his numbers are correct, Bill Shaw over at Writemarsh blog points out that since Davis took office as Montgomery County Republican Party Chairman, county residents have been registering as Democrats in droves.

"Ken Davis assumed office in April 2004 with a 70,000 edge in GOP registration over the D's," Shaw writes. "He has lost 49,000 of it in under 4 years."

If any Montgomery County Republican Committee members are considering voting for anyone but Bob Kerns as party chairman, they should have their head examined (not to mention their GOP card ripped up.)

Davis and his puppet master, Bob Asher, will probably field candidates for chairman so they can cling to power, but a vote for anyone but Kerns is a vote for a continuation of the mess that Davis, Asher and Jim Matthews have made of the Montco GOP.
