Democratic Party ID Drops to 22-Year Low

With Barack Obama, Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid as your party leaders, can you really blame voters for abandoning the Democratic Party? Especially after the disastrous policies enacted over the past four years under Democratic control of Congress.

From a new Gallup Poll:
In 2010, 31% of Americans identified as Democrats, down five percentage points from just two years ago and tied for the lowest annual average Gallup has measured in the last 22 years. While Democrats still outnumber Republicans by two points, the percentage identifying as independents increased to 38%, on the high end of what Gallup has measured in the last two decades.

A Stunning Look At The National Debt

So long, Nancy Pelosi

Today is Nancy Pelosi's last day as Speaker of the House.

January 4 should be declared a national holiday!

Queen Nancy's reign has been marked by corruption, mismanagement and incompetence.

It's also no coincidence that the start of the worst recession in U.S. history corresponds with Pelosi's control of Congress.

Good riddance.

National Debt Tops $14 Trillion Under Obama

You may not have noticed it during the busy holiday rush, but the U.S. national debt has topped $14 trillion under Barack Obama.

It now stands at $14,001,550,000 - and rising by the second. Broken down by population, every man, woman and child in the United States owes $45,000.

The interest alone on the national debt has now topped $3.5 trillion.

Barack Obama and Congressional Democrats have increased the national debt by more than $3 trillion in just two years.

The debt was $10.6 trillion when Obama took office in January 2009.

And for the Kool-Aid drinkers out there who can't accept the fact that Obama has plunged the nation into uncharted debt territory, consider that it took George W. Bush eight full years to increase the debt by $4.9 trillion.

Left unchecked, Obama is on pace to push the debt to $16.5 trillion in 2012 (his last year in office) or $6 trillion more than the day he was sworn in.

Johnny Depp Top Money-Making Star of 2010

Thanks largely to "Alice in Wonderland" and to a much-lesser extent, "The Tourist," Johnny Depp has been voted the Top Money-Making Star of 2010 by The Quigley Poll.

Conducted each year since 1932, The Quigley Poll is an annual survey of motion picture theatre owners and film buyers, which asks them to vote for the 10 stars they believe generated the most box-office revenue for their theatres during the year.

More from The Quigley Poll:
Angelina Jolie placed second this year based on "Salt" and "The Tourist."

Robert Downey Jr. made it to #3 for his third consecutive year in the survey, with 2010 roles in "Iron Man 2" and "Due Date."

Matt Damon, placing #4, had a productive year with "Green Zone," "Hereafter" and "True Grit."

Steve Carell made the Top Ten at #5 for his first time on the strength of "Dinner for Schmucks," "Date Night" and "Despicable Me." (voice)
