Time to end the legacy media’s legacy: A few days ago, Donald Trump Jr. said that his father is considering banning some mainstream media outlets from White House press briefings and replacing them with more independent outlets. After all their lying, deception, and dirty tricks, boy, does that feel good! Maybe American Thinker staffers will get a place at the briefings.
It is time to go much further. Donald Trump as president should declare that these legacy media are banned indefinitely from press briefings and interviews until they come clean on behavior unbefitting their stature. To this end, he will state publicly the top egregious violation (or should it be the top 5 or 10 or 20) committed by each one that any reasonable person would consider unacceptable, and demand a heartfelt apology to appear repeatedly, whether above its front-page fold, atop its internet site, or on-air during prime time; no stealth edits, weekend dumps, or corrections appended to years-old articles no one sees. The wording must be satisfactory to the aggrieved for the apology to be accepted.

Meanwhile, grandmothers praying in front of abortion mills get sent to prison and government officials burst into people’s homes and euthanize their pets. Police departments, like our military, are having difficulty meeting recruitment goals as candidates have no wish to risk life, limb, and liberty for woke bureaucrats who don’t have their back.

In this case, it’s Robert Williams’ report at the Gatestone Institute that, in September, the Harris-Biden administration, without fanfare, adopted a UN pact that gives the UN and the World Economic Forum (“WEF”) control over American speech, foreign policy, and, possibly, internal sovereignty. Thankfully, while the administration can sign someone’s name on the dotted line, the Constitution means that signature is invalid. But we’re not in the clear: That invalidity works only if we don’t have a government that acts as if the UN pact applies.

Censorship and ridiculously false characterizations are the usual weapons at her disposal, when reality is the actual problem. In his first term, because of his extensive real-world business experience, Trump was quite effective at improving the standard of living of the lower echelons of American society. Though ridiculously characterized as benefiting the über-rich capitalistic fat cats, this blatantly showcased the truly harmful ignorance of his opponents — that is, until a man-made pathogen “escaped” a Chinese laboratory.
