Newspaper: Photo ID cards should not prevent anybody from voting

One of the most liberal newspapers in Pennsylvania has endorsed common-sense legislation to require a photo ID before you can enter the voting booth. The bill was introduced by Republicans in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives.

The Democratic Party and liberal activist groups oppose any law to require voter ID because it would help curb voter fraud, something the Dems rely on to win elections.

From the editorial in the Reading Eagle:
A House bill would require voters to show identification before casting their ballots. Most people already have a driver's license, and showing it would not be a hardship.
