Obama poll numbers falling

The mainstream media lost interest in presidential approval numbers after George W. Bush left the White House, but Michael Falcone and Andy Barr of Politico have been looking over Obama's poll numbers and have noticed a definite trend: Obama's job approval numbers are heading south.

From their article at Politico:
Eroding confidence in President Barack Obama's handling of the economy and ability to control spending have caused his approval ratings to wilt to their lowest levels since taking office, according to a spate of recent polls, a sign of political weakness that comes just as he most needs leverage on Capitol Hill.
