Trump stands by Miss California USA

The far-left witch hunt aimed at Miss California USA, Carrie Prejean, for standing up for traditional marriage, has failed.

Donald Trump, who owns the Miss USA and Miss Universe pageants, announced today that Miss California USA can retain her crown.

Prejean was ambushed at the Miss USA pageant by a gay activist pushing the same-sex marriage agenda. When she didn't give the "correct" answer, Prejean was the target of a massive smear campaign by the far left and their media allies.

Trump noted the double-standard the media directed at the openly Christian Prejean, who said marriage should be between one man and one woman.

"It's the same answer that the president of the United States gave," Trump said at a press conference. "She gave an honorable answer. She gave an answer from her heart."

What will Keith Olbermann and the rest of the loons loons on MSNBC have to talk about now?

How about the fact that Obama's "stimulus" package has failed to create any jobs? Or the 2.5 million jobs lost since Obama came to the White House? How about the fact that Democrats have bankrupted the Social Security system? How about the fact that the Obama administration cannot account for billions of dollars it has handed out in bailouts? What about the deteriorating situation in Afghanistan and Pakistan?

Also check out this column by Bill O'Reilly on the far left smears on Prejean.

Honesty is the best policy. She spoke her mind and Trump is not going to penalize her for that. As for the pictures Trump sets the rules. What he says goes.

First off, how was asking a qeustion "pushing an agenda". It is a topic of discussion all across the country and in the states that have passed legislation allowing it. Isn't that the focus of the question period to guage their opinion on current events? If Mr. Hilton wasn't a "gay activist", would he still be pushing an agenda? And would you even care if Carrie Prejean existed if she didn't slide nicely into YOUR agenda. Who, may I ask, is using who?

FROM THE ASSOCIATED PRESS STORY THAT MOVED TODAY:

Hilton, whose real name is Mario Lavandeira, is best known for his blog but has also branched off into gay rights advocacy.

An appropriate forum to debate same-sex marriage? This is a beauty contest. What Miss USA thinks about same-sex marriage is irrelevant.

Of course Trump made the right decision. I would have very disappointed if it went the other way. I remember the morning after the pageant, looking at our local news, and the news stating to make sure to stay tuned to see the horrible thing that Miss California did on stage. I stayed tuned, saw and listened, and thought, what did she do???
