At No. 93 on the list of sexiest women on the planet ... drum roll please ... Michelle Obama ... Yes, that would be First Lady Michelle Obama.
This is what the magazine had to say about the selection:
He may be dealing with two wars, an economic meltdown, and a rapidly graying dome, but at least our Commander in Chief gets to come home to the hottest First Lady in the history of these United States. (Sorry, Martha Washington!)Is this a joke? I'm sure Barack thinks Michelle is attractive, but on what planet would she make anyone's list of Hot 100 women?
Who's next? Nancy Pelosi? Hillary Clinton? Janet Napolitano? Gimme a break!
This is just the latest example of pandering by liberals who control the media.
From a post by Tim Graham at NewsBusters:
Agence France-Presse is playing up the man-pleasing chicks-in-bras-and-panties magazine Maxim's blatantly political decision to place Michelle Obama on their "sexy list" of the "Maxim Hot 100."
Billed as the "stimulus package America really needs," the British-based international magazine known for revealing pictorials of models and actresses showcases Obama in her tasteful official White House portrait.
In the rare accolade for a political spouse, the magazine notes that her husband President Barack Obama "may be dealing with two wars, an economic meltdown, and a rapidly graying dome.
"But at least our Commander in Chief gets to come home to the hottest First Lady in the history of these United States."
AFP does help underline the strangeness of this by noting who's below Michelle (#93) on the 100:
Maxim's self-described "eyeball-searing, fantasy-fulfilling, brain-exploding" list has Obama topping "Top Chef" host and model Padma Lakshmi (#95) and Oscar-winning "Wrestler" star Marisa Tomei (#97).
The idea that Michelle Obama is hotter than Padma Lakshmi wouldn't exactly work in a poll of Maxim subscribers, and it's not like Maxim's convinced this ranking will convince Michelle to do a photo shoot for them. This just becomes another chance for media outlets to try and add glitz and glamour to Team Obama, no matter how ridiculous the attempt looks.

I agree what a JOKE! I remember when Maxim magazine started as a magazine for men. Now they have lost all credibility and I will never pick up another issue EVER again. They completely blew it and the fact that Michelle Obama's obviously doctored photo came in anywhere in the top half of women on the planet is garbage. Goodbye Maxim, we knew ye not.
