Newspaper: 'Our bespotted state'

What's it going to take to wake up the people of Pennsylvania?

The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review has an editorial today on two scandals involving state government: the "Bonusgate" criminal investigation and the continued incompetence of the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board.

"No matter whether it's criminal corruption, as is alleged in the legislative scandal, or corruption of process, as is abundantly clear in matters gambling, Pennsylvania is bespotted with a large stain that won't easily be removed," the newspaper says.

Read the full editorial, "Our bespotted state: Two corruptions" at at the newspaper's Web site.

For those who still care, Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2008. All 203 members of the state House of Representatives and 25 members of the Senate will face the voters.

If you're happy with the way things are going in this state, keep sending the incumbents back to Harrisburg.
