Santorum: PA coal should be in our energy future

While the nimrods in the U.S. Senate debate debate a global warming bill that will add a $1 trillion tax burden in American taxpayers, former Sen. Rick Santorum offers a sensible solution to the country's energy needs in an op-ed piece in today's edition of The Philadelphia Inquirer.

In 'Coal' is not a dirty word if we are realistic about saving the Earth, Santorum argues that the U.S. should turn to coal (abundant in Pennsylvania) to help meet the nation's energy needs.

"China will burn more coal this year than the United States, the European Union and Japan combined but has refused to participate in any carbon-reduction effort - all the while taking advantage of the attendant cost savings to steal more American jobs," Santorum writes.
