Taxpayers group: Obama would raise federal spending by $344B

Hold on to your wallet if Barack Obama is elected president.

Based on his promises to voters during the past six months, Obama would increase federal spending by a whopping $344 billion if he is elected president, says the National Taxpayers Union Foundation, a non-partisan group based in Washington, D.C.

By the way, the NTUF projects President John McCain would increase federal spending by $68 billion based on his campaign promises so far.

Do the math for yourself:

Barack Obama = $344B in new spending = Massive tax hike
