A couple of days ago, I praised Congressman Tim Holden for offering an honest assessment of the hypocritical way the Democratic Party picks its presidential candidates. You remember the "count every vote" mantra from 2000 and 2004. Apparently it doesn't apply to the way Democrats count votes in primary elections.
Anyway, while I applaud Holden for his candor, that doesn't mean I'd vote for the guy.
The Clarke Report blog offers a summary of Congressional pork spending and how Tim Holden is one of the worst offenders in Congress. (While not as bad as John "King of Pork" Murtha, Holden is right up there in wasting taxpayer dollars, along with most of the Democratic Congressional delegation from Pennsylvania.)
