Newspaper: Tax elimination plan deserves consideration

The Chambersburg Public Opinion is the latest newspaper to urge Pennsylvania lawmakers to give thorough consideration to the School Property Tax Elimination Act sponsored by state Rep. Sam Rohrer, R-Berks.

From the editorial:

It deserves a chance for debate, not only because it redistributes the tax onus over a wider base, but also because it represents an opportunity to do right by the students who attend these schools.

It's time for all of us -- especially state lawmakers -- to start thinking in terms of what's best, instead of what's merely possible.
