It is funny how some yanks confuse the USA with the whole of America.
The American continent is home to many people who do not speak English (eg Portugese in Brazil, French in Canada, Spanish in much of South and Central Amreica, even Javanese in Surinam) so how can you claim that the USA dialect of English is the langusge of the whole of America.
