Hands Off Cyprus 2008

The second annual July 20th Hands Off Cyprus 2008, is gaining strength.

This week, the National Herald news papers (Greek Εθνικός Κήρυκας or, older form, Εθνικός Κήρυξ) the largest Hellenic language newspapers in circulation, published a half-page in the political affairs section, covering the July 20th protest.

Buses have been donated to the community for participants to travel to the July 20th demonstration in Washington D.C., the buses will be free of charge to community members, please RSVP for a seat and for seats for your guests by calling Dionysios Pilarinos, the NY coordinator for the buses, at (917) 371-0214, buses are scheduled to depart from NY early on the morning of Sunday , July 20th 2008 from:

An activist sent a story from Cypriot newspaper Phileleftheros Online Cypriot newspaper, describing the personal tragedy of one poor woman who has funeral memorials for her husband, her father and her two son-in-laws on July 20th, as an example of what sorrow and misery Turkey inflicted on Cyprus, and the pain that remains to this day:
