Good News: Fewer Law Enforcement Officer Fatalities in 2008

Some good news from the the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund and Concerns of Police Survivors (C.O.P.S.)

As of June 30, 2008, only 59 law enforcement officers died in the line of duty compared to 100 who died over the same time period in 2007.

That's a 41 percent drop. Let's hope the trend continues for the next six months (and beyond.)
