An end to junk mail?

A way to stop junk mail? Sounds too good to be true. It would probably cut the volume of mail the U.S. Postal Service delivers in half.

There's a movement in California to create a "Do Not Mail" registry similar to the "Do Not Call" systems many states have set up.

One poll says nearly 9 in 10 Americans want to see a "Do Not Mail" registry, but lobbyists for the direct-mail industry usually get the last say with politicians.
