Say it ain't so, Joe

The two best assessments of Joe Biden's performance at last week's vice presidential debate can be found on the editorial pages of Investor's Business Daily and The Wall Street Journal.

Both newspapers chronicled dozes of mistatements, half-truths and outright lies by Biden during the 90-minute debate.

Of course, the corrupt liberal media covered up Biden's lies.

"It's hard choosing the worst in last Thursday's vice presidential debate: Sen. Joe Biden's continual untruths, his certitude in delivering them, or the free pass he got all night long," writes Investor's Business Daily.

If you can handle the truth, check out "Truthless Joe" at the IBD Web site.

From the Wall Street Journal:
We think the word "lie" is overused in politics today, having become a favorite of the blogosphere and at the New York Times. So we won't say Mr. Biden was deliberately making events up when he made these and other false statements. Perhaps he merely misspoke. In any case, Mrs. Palin may not know as much about the world as Mr. Biden does, but at least most of what she knows is true.
