From an editorial in today's edition:
Like a bad penny, a crazy scheme of Rep. John Perzel to limit the property-tax relief that was to come from gaming revenues to a certain group of senior citizens keeps turning up.The newspaper says gambling was sold to the Pennsylvania Legislature by Gov. Ed Rendell as a way to provide property tax relief for all Pennsylvanians.
Of course, the Rendell scheme has fallen woefully short, but the Daily News would never take a shot at its beloved Rendell.

The question comes quickly to mind...WHERE WAS JOHN?
Where was John Perzel as Speaker when the legislation was being formed...where was John when his "seniors" needed tax relief in the 29 OTHER years he has been in office...WHERE WAS John???....oh WAIT...now he has a REAL opponent...the Democrats have Rich Costello, 10 year President of the FOP, who REALLY fits the profile of the 172nd District that John Perzel so surgically crafetd...NOW he needs his senior voters...SO the rest of the public can suffer..AND those SENIORS who may have benefitted from reduction of the WAGE tax are OUT in the cold too...its a "CRAZY like a FOX" scheme for former Speaker and about to be former Representative Perzel.....
