The defense has submitted a list of 300 potential witnesses in the upcoming corruption trial of state Sen. Vincent J. Fumo.
It reads like a list of who's who among the political elite in Pennsylvania, says the Philadelphia Daily News.
Among the names on the list:
Gov. Ed Rendell
Lt. Gov. Catherine Baker Knoll
Speaker of the House Dennis O'Brien
U.S. Rep. Bob Brady
U.S. Rep. Chaka Fattah
Former Philadelphia Mayor W. Wilson Goode
Former Philadelphia Police Commissioner John Timoney
Montgomery County Commissioner Bruce Castor Jr.
11 current and former judges from local, state and federal courts
10 members of the Pennsylvania Senate
4 current or former members of the state House of Representatives
... and a partridge in a pear tree
