Commies for Obama

We now know where the Communist Party stands on the 2008 presidential election.

It's Communists for Obama by a landslide.

Communist Party USA said in a recent editorial that,
"A broad multiclass, multiracial movement is converging around Obama's 'Hope, change and unity' campaign because they see in it the thrilling opportunity to end 30 years of ultra-right rule and move our nation forward with a broadly progressive agenda.

If Obama's candidacy represented nothing more than the spark for this profound initiative to unite the working class and defeat the pernicious influence of racism, it would be a transformative candidacy that would advance progressive politics for the long term.

The struggle to defeat the ultra-right and turn our country on a positive path will not end with Obama's election. But that step will shift the ground for successful struggles going forward."
And you thought Obama was a mainstream candidate, didn't you.

Power to the people ... or is that Power to the proletariat?

If you can stomach it, you can read the full editorial at the party's Web site.

I guess the Communists are counting Bill & Hillary Clinton as part of the "ultra-right" power block that has controlled this country for the past 30 years? Somebody should let them know that Democrats held the White House for 8 years and Congress has been controled by Dems for 18 of the past 30 years. Why quibble with a little history?

HT to Gunservatively!

I can't believe you actually used the word "commies". You are showing your age. I don't think anyone under 40 could use that word and not be considered some kind of whacko.

And I can't believe the Communist party is behind Obama. They need to be behind Nader or Barr if they want some change. Both Obama and McCain are just going to give us another 4 or 8 years of the same old thing.

And who cares about facts or history? Neither the Democratic or Republican party care about them. How about McCain pulling facts about Georgia from Wikipedia like a C average college kid...
