It's 2009. So what.
I'm not a big fan of New Year's Day. It's just a reminder of things that didn't happen the previous 12 months. If you think about it, it's a depressing holiday. You think about all the disappointment in your life the previous year and hope things don't get worse.
And forget about resolutions. Resolve all you want. You know it's not going to happen.
I bet the only optimistic people out there today are die-hard Obama-maniacs. They actually think a politician will change their lives.
I'm not looking forward to 2009. Barrack Obama isn't going to do anything for me. We'll be here a year from now lamenting all the things that went wrong the previous year.
