The Republican National Committee has filed a complaint with the Federal Election Commission alleging that Democrat Barack Obama's presidential campaign has received illegal contributions from foreigners.
U.S. law prohibits campaign donations from foreign nationals, but the Obama campaign has willingly accepted millions of dollars in illegal donations. Some of the contributions came from Middle Eastern countries.
The FEC will probably fine Obama for accepting the illegal contributions, but the commission moves so slowly that any punitive action will probably be taken after the Nov. 4 election.
Obama may end up being president at that point.
