Truckers support bipartisan energy plan

Few people have suffered more during the summer energy crisis than American truckers. Rising fuel prices have impacted their livelihood directly. It costs $1,400 to fill a typical tractor trailer's fuel tanks, according to a truckers' group.

The American Trucking Associations is backing a bipartisan bill in the House that calls for domestic oil drilling as well as incentives for alternative energy measures.

While the bill has received support from both sides of the aisle, most of the sponsors are Democrats.

The big question now is whether Queen Nancy Pelosi will allow a vote on the energy bill.

Pelosi has been busy this summer traveling on her taxpayer-paid jumbo jet to promote her new book.
