The Boo-birds should be out in full force next time the Phillies come back to Philadelphia.
Jimmy Rollins, the team's under-achieving shortstop, broke the cardinal rule of Philly sports figures -- never badmouths the fans.
"When you're doing good, they're on your side. When you're doing bad, they're completely against you," Rollins said during an appearance on a sports talk show while the Phillies are on the road in Los Angeles.
Rollins went 0-for-5 against the Dodgers in Wednesday's game. The Phillies have lost three in a row to the Dodgers and are now in a tie with the Mets for first place in the NL East.
Rollins has been a big part of the team's struggles. The defending NL MVP is batting just .272 and is not providing the spark the team needs to score runs.
An apology is in order, Jimmy.

Way to go, Jimmy. The Phils were swept by the Dodgers in a four-game series. I don't think Rollins got a hit the entire series. Next time, let you bat do the talking, Jimmy.
