DeWeese mutiny grows

State Reps. Eugene DePasquale, D-95th Dist., and Jesse White, D-46th Dist., have joined the growing chorus of Democratic lawmakers calling for House Majority Leader Bill DeWeese to step down, reports Capitol Ideas and GrassrootsPA.com

Rep. White posted his reasons for DeWeese to resign at his own blog.

Also joining the mutiny is Rep. Dave Levdansky, D-39th Dist., according to Keystone Politics.

State Rep. Josh Shapiro, D-153rd Dist., started the current round of DeWeese bashing on Monday by telling DeWeese to walk the plank for the good of the Democratic Party, which is embroiled in the Bonusgate scandal and could lose its slim majority in the state House after the Nov. 4 election.

Inexplicably, the Pennsylvania Legislative Black Caucus is still supporting DeWeese, according to PolitickerPA.com
