Some 225 businesses on the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue's tax delinquent list owe the state nearly $6.6 million, according to acting Revenue Secretary Stephen H. Stetler.
What will happen if Gov. Ed Rendell is successful in raising the state's Personal Income Tax by 16%? Since most small business owners also pay the PIT, expect more delinquencies.
What professional politicians like Rendell don't understand is that you can't get blood from a stone or more money from businesses that barely keep their doors open under Pennsylvania's onerous tax system.
