Auditor General Jack Wagner Faults Board of Probation and Parole for Lapses in Oversight of Parolees

This is no surprise. Pennsylvania Auditor General says the state's Board of Probation and Parole is not doing a good job of keeping track of ex-cons once they are released from prison.

Worst case scenario: Auditors found that, from a sample of 24 parolees declared absconded, or missing, 9 had failed to meet with their parole officer for 3 years and 4 had failed for 5 years, according to Wagner.
