Survey: Majority of Americans want bailout for everyday folks

A new survey conducted by Consumer Reports finds that 56 percent of Americans believe the government isn't doing enough to help the average citizen during the current recession.

Memo to Barack Obama: Start printing more money.

The odd thing about this survey is that 87 percent of those polled believe the government needs to do more to reduce the national debt.

How people square reducing the national debt and handing out trillions of dollars in government bailout money is beyond me.

It shows a basic ignorance on the part of most Americans of fundamental economic principles. It also shows that people tend to want a handout for themselves but not the guy next to them.
