Newspaper: Don't expect much from this Legislature

The Pennsylvania Legislature, described by one longtime political observer as the most corrupt in the nation, returns for its fall session on Sept. 15.

There are dozens of major issues left undone during the current two-year session led by Democrat Bill DeWeese in the House.

Don't be surprised if the Legislature adjourns for the year having done little, says an editorial in today's edition of The Mercury.

From the editorial:
The issues that so many residents of Pennsylvania care about will not be alone in their place on the cutting room floor.

Judging by past performances, most items on the busy agenda will sit until next year.
