Democrats march toward socialism

Has the transition of the Democratic Party from a liberal institution to one dominated by socialists created a safe harbor for misogyny, racism and anarchy?

The National Journal ranks Bernie Sanders, a unapologetic socialist, the fourth most 'liberal' member of the U.S. Senate. It ranks Sen. Barack Obama and Sen. Joe Biden Biden, first and third, respectively.

Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) would like to nationalize U.S. oil companies. Barack Obama wants to redistribute wealth and implement his variation of "reparations" in the interest of "fairness." And, over the condemnation of none other than George McGovern, Obama has called for the elimination of private balloting in union certification votes. Somewhere in the netherworld, Joe Stalin is smiling.

Misogyny — The first victims of "The New Democratic Party" were Hillary Clinton and the women's movement. Eighteen million primary votes were not enough to secure a spot on the Democratic Ticket. In actuality, what the women's movement represented was deemed insufficiently "left." It came as little surprise when the venom of The NDP was directed toward Sarah Palin's Downs Syndrome infant and pregnant daughter.

Racism — Socialism will forgive a great deal in the pursuit of it's agenda. It forgave Ted Kennedy Chappaquiddick. In Obama's case, it was 20 years of funding and lending his stature to a race baiting, America hating institution on the south side of Chicago that passes itself off as a church. It also should not be lost on anyone that "The New Democratic Party," with Obama's blessing, has vigorously opposed publicly funded school choice, thereby sentencing inner city kids to lives of dependency and failure.

Anarchy — The latest face of the "The New Democratic Party," disciples of Bill Ayers, was on display at the Republican Convention assaulting delegates and police when not destroying property. Who is Bill Ayers? Simply put, he is our own Bin Laden, a domestic terrorist who advised the New York Times in September 2001, "I don't regret setting bombs รข€¦ I feel we didn't do enough." He is also Barack Obama's friend, hosted the senator's first political fundraiser and served with him on the board of a dubious non-profit.

I cannot imagine that FDR or JFK would have allowed their party to be hijacked by an Anti-American Movement. It is time that true Democrats took their party back.

This is why I feel that I must learn more about my govt. and stop being a complacent middle class worker, who pays my bills, raises my family and is "content" enough.

Just like a liberal friend of mine said the only reason he wants Obama to assure that "right wing" judges not get on the Supreme court. Conservatives and anyone who cares about preserving freedom should vote for McCain/Palin for the same reasons. Long after the president seat changes we have to live with these judges....Please let us not forget that 4 of the 9 did not agree that the 2nd amendment applies to citizens bearing arms. As a home-schooling family, the nanny state scares me.
