Quotes on partial Pa. government shutdown, furloughs

"WHEN DO WE GET OUR MONEY BACK!" — Sign posted at Codorus State Park by a camper forced to leave early because of the government shutdown.

"It's embarrassing enough for Pennsylvania residents, but you have out-of-state vacationers going 'What!' ... The image for Pennsylvania is stunningly bad." — JoDee Dyerson, of State College, whose family had to leave their Black Moshannon State Park campsite early.

"I don't care about getting my money back, I just want my vacation." — Kay George, 53, a Philadelphia minister who was forced out of her cabin at Black Moshannon State Park.

"I don't think they should take away people's summer fun." — Gloria West, 52, of York, a disgruntled camper at Codorus State Park.

"I can't believe I came all the way down here. This don't make no sense. Everwhere's closed." — LaTanya Anderson, who took a one-hour bus ride to downtown Philadelphia to get a driver's license, only to find the office was closed.

"I didn't know about it until I got here. ... I don't know how I'm going to get my permit." — Dandan Hong, 21, a student at the University of Pittsburgh, who tried unsuccessfully to get her driver's license permit Monday morning.
