'Wild Things' tops weekend box office

'Where the Wild Things Are' topped the box office over the weekend of Oct. 16-18, with an estimated $32.5 million, according to BoxOfficeMojo.com

Another new release, "Law Abiding Citizen," did well with $21.3 million and the low-budget horror film "Paranormal Activity" continues to set box office records, bringing in $20.2 million in just 760 theaters (which is 3,000 fewer theaters than "Wild Things")

With the success of "Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs" and "Where the Wild Things Are," let's see how quickly Hollywood moves to turn more children's books into feature films.

Here's this week's Top 5 based on studio estimates. The final numbers will be released Monday evening.
