2 KILLED IN LIMERICK CRASH

Take a look at the series of photos posted on The Mercury's Web site of the aftermath of a double fatal crash that claimed the lives of two young people. If this doesn't make you think twice next time you decide to speed, you should never get behind the wheel of a car.

From a story by Dennis Wright:
LIMERICK — Excessive speed was the likely cause of a single-car crash that left two people dead along Limerick Center Road early Sunday morning, according to police.

Limerick Police Chief William Albany confirmed that Ryan W. Menkins, 21, of the 200 block of Second Avenue in Royersford, and Shana C. Geyer, 22, of the 1200 unit of Walnut Ridge Estates in Lower Pottsgrove, were found dead inside a 2006 Ford Focus around 7:30 a.m. Sunday morning.

Albany said that township police responded to the 300 block of Limerick Center Road for a reported vehicle crash.

Upon arrival at the scene, police discovered that the Focus had left the roadway and struck a utility pole.
