Thorns to U.S. Census for wasting tax dollars

From the editorial page of The Pottstown Mercury:
First came a letter giving notice that a U.S. Census form is in the mail. Next came the Census form itself. Then a postcard followed, reminding people to fill out the form. THORNS for the loss of trees and expense in all that government paperwork. We understand the government is working hard to solicit participation in the Census count, and the reminders are well-intentioned, but as much as we dislike them, robo-calls would be more environmentally friendly. The Census program is also hiring door-to-door census-takers to make sure nobody is missed. Seems like they will get better results than the mailbox triple-play.
