NJ joins the fight against Obamacare

NJ Physicians, a physician-run organization that advocates for patient access to quality health care, filed a complaint in federal court in Newark, N.J., Tuesday seeking to nullify the health-care reform bill.

"This act predominantly addresses insurance coverage issues without correcting a system that mandates the practice of defensive medicine and encourages inefficient care models," said Steven Kern, lawyer for NJ Physicians. "True reform would overhaul the health-care system to reward efficiency and successful outcomes. Despite its purported goals, we believe this legislation would make access to health care more difficult and would increase the cost and reduce the quality of health care currently enjoyed by the vast majority of the population."

The complaint contends Congress violated citizens' Constitutional rights and undermined the sovereignty of the states.
