'My Sharona' singer Doug Fieger (1952-2010)

Sad news over the weekend. Doug Fieger, founder and lead singer of the power pop group The Knack, died Sunday in California at the age of 57. Fieger was battling cancer.

The group was formed in 1978 and struck it big with its debut album. "My Sharona" held the No. 1 spot on the Billboard chart for six consecutive weeks, effectively killing disco.
